The birthstone for the month of March is Aquamarine, and what a perfect stone to remind us of what’s around the corner! Aquamarine is a semi-precious gemstone known for its relaxing, tranquil color. Because its color evokes the sea, it was often worn by sailors who believed it had the power to ward off sea sickness and to protect against shipwrecks (possibly one of the reasons it’s been referred to from time to time as the “sailor’s gem”).
